When I get on the throttle and go through the gears winshield solvent sprays up on the window. It happens everytime i get the revs up and it drives me nuts on a clean windshield.
You must have the cleanest w/shield around! You actually spend that much time at the strip? This is a common occurance, under the circumstace that you described. If you were to go to the tech section & click on to "Search this Forum" @ the top right of the page. Then type into the box what you would like to know, in the least amount of words. Seems like there was a recent post that one used some sort of different fitting at the bottom of the resevoir, to prevent the spray. Good luck.
I used to think it was residual water from when I washed it but now that I know what it is drives me crazy. Im kinda glad to know Im not the only one though.

AS mentioned go to tech Section. Type in "Spray on windshield." Then go to the 3rd page to a post by Korvette Karl. Tells what part & # to buy to eliminate problem.
Never seen this issue. I go through the gears all the time at max throttle. I just made 6 passes at the CA Dragway. However, I get the "low washer fluid" message a lot. I don't care if it's low since I don't use it. Just kind of funny cause it certainly does spill out of the reservoir a lot.

I think that's a little known Corvette option #CW26, automatic windshield wash.
My 02 was doing it. I lowered the fluid level and it does not do it any more.
Same here on my 04. I keep the fluid level to the point where once in a great while the low fluid warning comes on, and that seems to keep it from spraying on its own.

That's funny as hell, I have the same problem in my 00-C5. I use the commercial "bug juice remover" in my washer tank, so I could smell it, but damn, never could find where it came from. Didn't know it was so prevalent among other drivers.

This info was posted here on the forum a while back. Hope it helps.
There IS a fix for this common problem. It involves using a Ford check valve in the washer line.
Windshield Washer Check Valve
The squirt on hard acceleration got to be old. There was a post here about using the check valve from Ford to cure it. It works very nicely! Get Windshield Wiper Fluid Check Valves (1 package = 2 valves) from Ford Motor Co.- #F8CZ-17A614-AA - $4.08 - any dealer will have it. Remove wiper arms (13 mm bolts under the snap off caps, then wiggle and pull), cut the washer fluid tube under the blade assembly just before it splits to the 2 output nozzles, and install the valve (1 each side) with the check ball pointing towards the pump - i.e. away from the outlets, and press the thing back under the wiper arm prior to re-install. Nasty Ford part is invisible, and hammering the car = dry windshield. No big deal, I was just tired of cleaning up the solvent residue from the stuff. One note from the service manual that was useful: before removing the wiper assemblies, turn the ignition to “accessory,” turn wipers to slow intermittent, and turn off ignition when they are down (at end of cycle but not parked all the way down on the stops where they go to when you turn them off). Then use a piece of masking tape on windshield on both sides to mark their position so that the reinstall is properly aligned.
