Anyone running this combo: Rear-285/35/18......Front 255/40/17....I'm trying to go with Sumitomo's for the $ reason from Tirerack.com...These are the only sizes they offer that will fit my rims. I'm concerned about lowering the aspect ratio vs the stock sizes...and in case you're wondering why I don't just get the stock size again of 275/40/18 and 245/45/17...is because my aftermarket rims up front have an overhang now which I'm trying to eliminate.....anyways..input is appreciated...Paully

I'm not running those sizes but they should work OK. According to the spec charts for those tires on Tire Rack the rear overall diameter is 25.9" and 25.1" for the fronts. You need at least a 1/2 inch delta in tires front to rear with the rear being larger overall diameter to avoid AH/TC issues. You have a 0.8" delta. And according to the same charts they will work with the rim widths you posted in the other thread.
