looking for 2000 corvette info?
First time corvette buyer and in need of some help. Saw this vette on craigslist and need some opinions and advice. Its a 2000 base model, six speed, 68,000 on the od. What is it worth? What should I know to ask seller? What should I be aware of? Thanks for the help!

I would check various prices for your zip code using Autotrader, NADA, KBB, etc. Try to get an average given the condition of the car. Also run a CARFAX or AUTOCHECK to check history.
I have also have MY 2000 C5. I bought it two years ago for $23k with 62K miles and the clear top thrown in. It is my everyday driver and now has 86K on the odometer.
It has been a great vehicle and there is nothing like a Corvette!

Depending on where you are located and rating it in good condition with no major flaws it should run in the $13-15K range.
I would look closely at the ownership history, verifiable mileage and service record history before making any decision.

Check under the battery for leak damage. Under the nose for curb damage. Tires are expensive so make sure they are in good condition. 16-18k sounds about right.
