Hey dudes,
Thought I would share some pics. Even after 9 years, I still love this stuff!
New stuff:
C6 Z51 sway bars, Bilstein Sports, and lowered on stock bolts. Got the rear bar powder coated, looks sick
Installed the sway bars and lowered myself, it was a really fun job - took about 3 hours. Had the Bilsteins installed professionally. The rears gave me alot of trouble with squeeking. The top mounting plate had to have some adjustment and new washers were needed on return trips to the shop. So far so good, all seems to be in order now and she rides like a dream. I am coming from a 13 year old base suspensin, so the difference is night and day.
The battle ground, not too many casualties this time
New high flow air duct and coupler. Darn thing has been sitting in my garage for 4 years waiting for install
. It was a PITA to get the Blackwing off the frame and the coupler on the throttle body. I had to sit spread eagle between the FRCs and slide the coupler on with a butter nife... major PITA
Chrome fuel rail covers and new TB plate. I think the engine bay mod bug is infecting me. That plenum is looking mighty ugly all of a sudden
Do you guys think I should go with a chrome or red plenum cover?

And my new toy, rear view mirror mounted Escort 8500 x50 blue. Looks real nice at night with the blue from my white gauges

To me the level of difficulty installing the shocks was the same was the sways, so I think you could have done that yourself too!
Yes the mod bug has hit me too.. I have a '99, it's hard to believe the car is over 11 years old!
