Or is it just bad use of a photo?
I see the Corvette forum has taken one of my photos of my car, a C5 and placed it on the home page advertizing C6 tires and wheels...
While I think it is a nice honor, Im not real sure the Forum wants to be incorrect in their photo placement..

I'm not going to take the time to dig through the fine print in the membership agreement but there may be something buried in there that allows them to use anything you post directly to the forum server.
Still.............. big time bad taste for them to "steal" your photo for their commercial use.
If you haven't already heard from them you should at least expect a formal apology and a permission request.
I would jump up and down scream and holler and never use the forum again.
Now with that silliness out of the way, I would be honored that my car was considered worth enough to be a part of the home page. Not sure why you would be upset, as you already post that picture on the forum for all to see. Should the forum contacted you for permission, maybe not a bad idea, but as stated in a previous post, they may be something in the membership agreement that gives the forum to use this pictures that have been posted.

Had that happen with my '00 - a forum vendor used a pic of my car with the Imola wheels on it on their web site. Never asked me about it, but I just figured they had good taste.
If that's the only image, it would be difficult to say whose car it is, if that's the main issue.
I also don't see it as an infringement, at least not in the "legal" sense. If it offends an owner, ask them to take it down. I doubt IB wants anyone upset over such a small issue. Once one posts images on a website, it's out there...forever.
I sold an expensive car through a specialized hot rod site a few years ago. The owner of that forum chose to use an image of my car on the website header for several months. I wasn't offended in the least.
Hey, I am Not complaining about them using it, I'm honored, but my post was meant as a way to alert admin that they placed my photo in a link that is referencing C6 tires and wheel. Thats it ! No Drama.. No Bitching, and most of all No copy-write infringement.. Ive been here almost ten years, and have posted hundreds of photos, my car was on the front page of Motor city Molds website for years. When I opened this forum today I was amazed to see 20 post.. I expected to see a few... Thanks again for all the input.
