NCM Insurance
First when I changed over my insurance from State Farm (which I have had on all my cars that I have owned for over 20 years) I saved over $400.00 right from the start.
My dealings with Adam have been nothing short of great, his customer service is exactly what I want from someone when I am buying their product.
This past weekend (6-5-10) I drove my 00 vert from Columbia SC to Myrtle Beach SC for the 15th Annual Corvette's at Myrtle Beach. Great show and the weather was hot, hot, hot. My wife likes this show and the one in Charleston SC as they are close to shopping.
Well on the way back all of a sudden a rock hits my windshield and bang a dime sized chip about half way up the windshield on the drivers side. So after a few choice words I turn the music back up and enjoy the rest of the drive home.
This happened on a Saturday. Monday was very busy at work but I took the time to fire off a e-mail to Adam at the NCM to advise him what had happened. He very quickly responded to my e-mail and gave me a number to call to file a claim.
On Tuesday I called to file a claim and spoke with James from American Modern Ins Co. He was great and took down all my info, gave me a claim number and told me that my claim would be assigned and the person it was assigned to would call me within 2 days. Well that afternoon the person assigned to my claim, Tammie, called me and come to find out she is a vette owner also. She ask for some further info and I told her that a fix vs a replacement was ok with me but she tells me that because it is in line of sight it would be replaced. She ask if I have anyone that I wanted to use, but being that I have never had a windshield replaced I did not know who to use but did express my concern about having soneone who has never done a vette do the replacement. She fully understood and said someone will call me within 2 days.
This morning (Wednesday) I get a call from another American Modern Inc Co. employee who three way calls with a local glass place that has experience with vettes. Chad from the Auto Glass Place gets more info from me and says he will call me back once he locates the windshield to set up an appointment. He calls me back about 15 minutes later to tell me he has located the proper windshield (HUD) and also the seal and has ordered the moulding from the dealer and it should be in my Friday. I asked him to call me back once he gets everything in to schedule the appointment. I also express my concern to Chad in reference to having it done right and he told me that they have done many corvette's and understands my concern.
This is what I call customer service. If you are on the fence about this insurance I can tell you my experience to date has been outstanding.

Also, that was excellent that you had someone who knew about what needs to be replaced on the Vette when the windshield is replaced. Most operators treat it like a regular car.
Is the Auto Glass Place an official company or a generic term? If so, glad you stayed away from Safelite.

Thanks again, and if you need anything please let me know.
Adam
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

This place did a great job and everything from the time I e-mailed Adam till the fix was completed went very smooth and effortless.
The service I received from Adam at the NCM and all the people at American Modern Ins. Co. and Auto Safety Glass Inc (Columbia SC) was outstanding.
I hope to not have another claim, but I will say that I have never been treated better by any other insurance company that I have had.
