if i cant find any 93 octane gas? i plan on taking a long road trip out to the middle of nowhere in a couple weeks. i have a professional tune, and i told the tuner that i will ALWAYS be running 93 octane. I fear there might not be a gas station around that has 93. will my car be ok as long as i keep the rpms low? from what i hear, octane booster doesnt do crap.
Car will adjust timing, etc. and run fine. Just do not try any banzai runs or upper RPM range running till you get good gas back in it. ENJOY the trip.
I would think it wouldn't hurt to take some Oct boost...your call.
As said, it will run okay, just ease it up the hills and if you hear pinging, back out of the throttle. Plus, I bet you find premium everywhere you go. Have fun....take pics and post
I believe in the worst case,,the lowest premium grade is 91 octane. As long as you are not pushing it REALLY hard,,your motor won't know the difference!! only 2 octane points,,and usually because of altitude differences,,so the air isn't up to the octane requirements anyhow!!
