I think these look quite a bit better than the stock tails. Im not a huge fan of the halos, so i was looking at these. Anyone have pics of these installed? Thoughts? Thanks!
Hi There,
I have those leds on my 01 except for the 6 little squares shown in the picture.Bought them from WCC. Sorry no picture. P&Play item. Nice & bright.

BTW, those six little squares (and round middle on the halos) are what keep these lights DOT compliant. They're the reflectors needed at night. That's why blackouts are considered non DOT compliant and not the amount of light emitted or surpressed.
And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

then they are not the same ones that have been posted. if they are not halos, yours are probably the "eyeball" style made by adjure.

Save your money. Let's see. I cut into the drivers side outer twice, drivers inner three times, and currently need to cut open the passenger side inner to fix a set of three LEDs that went out. Manufactured by Spring. Wished I'd bought the Halos.

That doesn't sound good. I have the halos on mine - just my preference.
Just get them from JW Motoring. You will be very happy with the look. You can get modded or unmodded halos but don't forget the hyperflash harness. It will help. Here are mine unmodded.

I tried to tint a set of those (listed in first post) and with only one shade the light couldn't be seen. I would go halos or stay stock. Not worth the money for those.
thanks for the info guys. sounds like the light output and reliability in these things leaves something to be desired. probably not worth the effort. i dont feel like replacing LED's after only a few months. already have a hyperflash harness for my clear switchback DRL's.
