It is way too expensive for what it does. You get the same result from many other hand held tuners like Diablo or Hypertech. Also in speaking with the folks from Hypertech, where the owner is a Corvette guy, they will not market a product like this that does not also tune the vehicle. I have driven a vehicle with a Sprint Booster on it, but would not put in on my car.
This thing is much more known to the BMW drivers. I bought one for my wife's 550i. BMW's have a huge tip-in lag that is just this side of dangerous. Nothing like trying to launch into traffic with 360hp but getting no acceleration for a inch of gas paddle travel.
They don't have an application for C5's yet, just C6's. I called because I was curious about what this thing was supposed to do. The only time I ever noticed any lag on my Z is after I spent any time driving my street rod with a carb and a cable. That car has instant response. Yet the Z is so quick I consider any lag a non issue. Now my wife's Audi A4 turbo has a very noticeable lag at times that maybe would justify this item, if it really does what they say. On a Vette I think it would be a waste of money.
