I have searched the forum but couldn't find the answer I was looking for. I am seriously thinking about changing my stock wheels to C5 Z06 Wheels
I heard that z06 wheels are lighter than regular c5 stock ones. Is it true? If they are lighter than by how much? Also, going from 275 tiers to 295(could I put 295 on 10.5 inch wheel?) how much will that improve my 0-60 time. I feel like my auto 01 vert has enough hp now after LT s, x-pipe, mufflers, CAI, and a dyno tune but the stock tires have difficult time hooking up.
I appreciate any info!
Thanks
Victor

I can't answer to the wieght differnce but I can I can tell you that a 295 will fit no problem. I have 18x10.5 on the rears of my 02Z and I have had 305s on there with no rubbing issues at all

Plus the chrome C5 Z wheels look amazing IMO

I went with chrome, deep-dish C6 Z06 wheels. I would bet that mine weigh MORE than OE, but the look is worth it all.

I chose 9.5/17 and 10.5/18 with 265/40/17 and 295/35/18. Basic Z06 sizes !

The factory z06 wheels are lighter then the regular c5, but none of the aftermarket ones will be though. Also I believe there is the 01 brand alcoa wheels, and the 02-04 speedline though I doubt there is any serious weight difference between the two. 265 front 295 rear are the factory sizes, but if you really wanted the optional magnesium 5 spoke wheels are probably lighter then the z06 ones. They are regular c5 sizes but you could fit a 285 tire on them. Some say if you do it will throw off the speed sensor though as the overall wheel/tire size is different. Honestly though the biggest thing to help is tire brand not size. If you dont have Mich. PS2's your missing out.
