Lost keys, replacement and alarm issues
Well, I dropped my keys in a parking lot (I guess). 5 minutes later I realized and 2 hours later nobody turned them in. No spare key, used key fob to lock doors (windows down, top off).
So, I needed to look under the seats just in case I dropped them in the car somehow, ready with a cresent wrench, I opened the door. Alarm went off, opened hood and pulled neg on battery.
Getting replacement keys on Monday-what am I in for when I re attach the battery? Will putting the new key in the ignition and starting it shut the alarm off? (without using a fob?).

I would think the alarm will be off, but you can leave the key in the driver door and turn to unlock to disarm the system once you hookup the power. I tested the alarm feature on mine and once you insert the key in the ignition switch (with the proper resistor), alarm shuts off. I hope someone doesn't take your ride if they find the keys! Erase all transmitters from the keyless memory.
