I have been reading on here that a few of you use Ryan at CMS. Has anyone had any bad results or complaints. I just got my A&A kit installed and the Z is begging to be driven, but not without a good tune. I live in Chino so CMS is not that far, any other places suggested?
I highly recommend Ryne at CMS, I"ll be taking my car to him very soon to have it tuned after I get my LT's installed. I just seen his shop car this past weekend up at San Marcos and that thing SCREAMS!!! He seems like a legit guy and a true corvette enthusiast. He's going to be the closest to you.
Another one to bring up is Charlie over at RPM but he's in Santa Clarita? I think. So it'd be a bit of a drive for you but, really it's up to you. Do your research on those two guys and i'm sure you won't be disappointed either way.
Thanks, I think CMS is probably closest to me. I have spoken to Ryan on the phone and he seems nice enough. What is RET? It is hard driving this thing without getting into boost.
another for cms. he tuned my car when i installed a cam, then tuned it again when i installed nitrous. and currently im installing a a&a supercharger kit with methanol, then i gotta drive almost 2 hours to have him tune it

RET is "Racer's Edge Tuning". They specialize in Mustangs, but they've been doing LSx cars lately and the tunes have been really good.
I'm really happy with Charlie at RPM in Santa Clarita for my tune. Had the pleasure of living and working near his shop. It's been almost 2 years and 30k miles since he last touched it and it's been trouble free.
I used Ryne at CMS for my tune. They also installed a new H/C/I on my car. Ryne has went above and beyond with my car. It was a beast to tune, to say the least, and he got it working great! Awesome people!
I don't really any apprehensions on going to CMS, was just looking for a little insight. I have been getting my Mustang tuned at the same place for years and though he does a good job I think he is a bit more conservative than what I want for the Vette. I think it is because he does not do any work on the cars, so if something happened the car would have to be towed. I also know of another Mustang tuner that is more aggressive but has been known to blow built motors in the process.

It's not always about aggressive or non aggressive it is about experience. In Dec 08 Ryne tuned my Supercharged FRC with stock short block, truck heads, cam and 80k on it. The car put down 643 rwhp with meth. I sold the car in Oct 09 but have talked to the owner and he says the car is still going strong. That says everything about Ryne's tuning abilities.
Especially with a supercharged car there is no one better in Socal IMO
The tuner I have been using is definately experienced, it's all he does any more. He tunes all types, he has been trying to convince me for years to get something with an LSX motor. But after all is said and done, just made made my appointment with Ryan for Sat the 3rd. Can hardly wait!!!
