Default Re-route coolant line

I just purchased a KaTech ported throttle body. My mechanic said to re-route the coolant line to bypass the throttle body.

Does anyone make a nice looking kit for this, or will I have to cobble something up?

Sincerely,

Mike

All you need to do is go to a parts house and get 2 clamps and a barbed hose connector, Cost at most is like 5 bucks. As far as the mod goes you really won't notice any difference with or without it.
jmo.

Most hardware stores only have brass barbs. These can carrode and contaminate the coolant. We use aluminium like the engine block.

I used the plastic Tee from a flush kit and a pair of stainless hose clamps. Had the Tee left over and sitting in my tool box for years. Finally put it to use..........

you can get those parts from that same kit at any auto parts store..problem is keeping it clear of the pulley. Very tight clearance unless you add alot more hose to stay clear of the pulley under the TB.

Very simple to DIY. Dont spend $20 for $5 worth of parts. Its one of those mods thats really doesnt help much, but at the same time doesnt hurt.

One piece of hose and a push pin hose holder does it. Run the hose from the radiator along the to of the fan shroud with a hose holder then over to the outlet on the manifold. Clean, out of the way of everything, and only two connections. You'll probably even find a small hole in the shroud to plug the hose holder in. At least there was one on my 01Z.

I used 1/4 fuel line and ran it from the manifold to the radiator. Had to remove the radiator support to R/R the hose. very neat. Two clamps.
