Default Alternate seats?

Like many posters I'm less than crazy about my C5 seats. There are some very nice and very expensive options, some low dollar race seats and some nice seats that just wont fit. I was thinking about seats from another make that look nice and might be sized to fit in a C5 and I thought of the Mazda RX8. What do you think of these and would they fit in a C5?

Those are beautiful and I'm looking for options too. I heard Viper seats fit too. The c5 is pretty narrow towards the back and the seat belt retractors are the problem. Very few options. I'm going towards the Corbeau A4's which fit for around 1200 in bk leather. If those fit please let me know. I think you only have 18" at the back base of the seat.

I think the RX8 is pretty narrow - I'm going to have visit a dealership with a tape measure in my pocket

They look great, but I wonder how much they weigh with those air bags in them.

I don't know, but if they fit I would de-fang them.

Biggest issue isn't just the seat widths it is the base height, and how you will mount them to the factory sliders, or an aftermarket slider from Corbeau, Spraco, Arizen, etc...

Those seats look pretty cool, though and I hop you can make it work

Me, I love my Corbeau's

So true the height is another issue as I'm 6' and keep my stockers as low as the go, I don't want to go up at all. Alos how much are those seats?? or are we fantasizing we will find them on ebay or the junkyard? They are beautiful.

I saw an old internet ad selling a pair for $650.00 - seemed like a pretty good price; just need proof of concept before going hunting.

Those Mazda seats do look good. If you can make them fit, be sure to document the process and post it up here.
