Why? Perhaps somebody can explain why you would want to remote start a Vette? I could see it when I lived in the land of 40 below zero winters and you might want to start your vehicle to warm up while you had a coffee, but I don't live in the frozen north any more and if I did I wouldn't be driving my Vette in the winter.

because I live in the land of 98 degrees summer heat and that AC sure would make a big difference if it we on a couple minutes before I left work.

My wife has one on her 86 C4 and it works great but I know the systems are nothing alike.
Hers was professionaly iinstalled and is a bulldog.
The shop that did hers for $98 wants $300 to do mine.

Does the $300 include the actual unit, and vats bypass? I tried to discourage customers from buying those add-on systems, because most of them would complain of low range issues. Also most GM keyless fobs are disabled once the ignition is on. So no unlock while the car is remote started. Does it work good on the C4? I did install a few bulldog remote start for some customers in the mid 90's (they were available cheaply at costco $80 apprx) and they were not very reliable during winter months!

I have a remote start on my DD and also on my wife's car. Comes in handy for warming the car up in the winter and for cooling it down in the summer. Only complaint is that the fan speed for the HVAC does not go to high even if it is set there when you last got out of the car.
