Change oil in automatic transaxle
My 02 has 87k miles on it and I tow my 18' drag boat with the car so I plan to change the oil in the automatic transmission soon.What kit do I buy from GM (gaskets and new filter) and what kind of oil do I get? How many quarts does it take and where is the filler plug? Please advise,Brock

you can't "change the transmission fluid" yourself. It has to be power flushed by a special mechine. You CAN change the trani filter and replace the aprox 4 quarts of fluid that will come out with the filter-BUT that's only "changing" aprox 23% of your fluid.With 87K on a car you tow with its time to change ALL the fluid and the filter.
