Have any of you found a good small jack that will fit in one of the compartments in the trunk? Something that you have used and that is not a piece of junk.
I got a nice brand new one on that auction site from a wrecker. I think it was from 2008 Pontiac GTO--guess the guy crashed the car on the way home from the dealer...
On EBAY or in a salvage yard, find an aluminum scissors jack with jack handle. They came originally in Porsche and Mazda Rx7 cars.
It folds down flat enough to slide under a C5/Z06 and only weighs something like 5# if I remember correctly. Mine is in the trunk all the time along with tools. I figure carrying that stuff insures I'll never have to use it.
Search EBAY with keywords "aluminum jack" and you'll find them. You can find them with or without the little nub on top of the lifting pad. I think I paid $35 for mine.
BMW and Audi used this type of jack. I don't know if it's more stable or not...
