If you already have the service, just call them and tell them you want to cancel. Bet they offer you the discounted rate. If you don't have the service, ask for a new account special. I've been getting a number of mailings lately asking me to return as a customer - all with the $77 rate.

The "Cancel" code does not always work. I was going to cancel my subscription anyway and when I called to do so the $77.00 a year promotion was not mentioned. I did get a survey e-mailed (several times) but no other incentive to bring me back.

I just called and said cancel because my renewal for 3 radios was almost 400 bucks and quickly got the 88 per year rate which included the royalty fee of 10 bucks per radio

AMEN. I had a previous account with Sirrius that I cancelled when they hired Howard Stern. Now XM has him. I can't win.

I called a few days ago. Mine was about to expire. Told them I wanted to cancel. They said I already used up the 77 rate for two years in a row. They gave me 5 months for 3.99 per month. I'll take that anyday.

I had 3 month trial on my new car which recently expired.
I thought I'd be bombarded with offers from XM, but not one letter so far.
I don't think I'd pay for it at this time however.
