Default GM bra/overheating?

A quick question for anyone who has a GM bra- We were going to be taking off in a couple of weeks for an extended road trip. I have a GM bra I purchased for my '97 and have never used it on my Z. If anyone has one, have you noticed any overheating issues? Looks like the clear plastic blocks the screens, didn't think much air flowed through there anyway. Obviously we will be traveling in hot weather so was curious if this would be an isssue. I'm guessing it wouldn't be on the highway but wondered about city type/congested traffic situations. Was just trying to get away from the bug/road debris isssue. Never had it on for our short hauls so it hasn't been an issue. Thanks.

It sounds like you have the wrong bra. I have both and the Z06 bra is open for the screened vents. If you have any questions PM me.

I have used a GM bra on my Z-06 for 6 years that I had on a 02 coupe. I've never had the car overheat even in traffic(driving thru Chicago to Blomington Gold twice) and on I-70 in traffic jams.

It does not matter what bra you have. These cars are bottom breathers. The air for the radiator is taken from under the front nose. The black center air dam directs air into the radiator. As long as that is not blocked your fine. The Z06 screens are not for air to the radiator.
