Default traction control off vs competitive driving

which setting is better for drag racing, from a dig or a roll..on a closed course obviously...I know the competitive driving allows you to spin the tires but keeps the active handling enabled and traction control off just turns everything off, will you still see a power cut with excessive traction loss while in competitive driving?

So your question is whether or not the AH system is capable of hindering acceleration in a drag race. I would think not. As long as you keep the car straight and under control, the system should have no reason to engage the brakes at all.

I vote that you keep AH turned on (competitive mode) during a drag race. It might save you from meeting the wall.

I alwats drag race with it in Competative Driving mode, I'm certain the previous owner turned it off completly, there is no difference in ET on our runs so I don't think it matters, and it makes me feel better to keep it on.
When I forget to adjust it, I hate the fact that I see the traction control kicking in at over 100 mph...

i would think the car would only cut power in comp. mode if you started getting sideways, or get very excessive wheelspin. but i could be wrong

Leave the car in competetive driving mode for any type of strait line racing. It's saved a few guys on here from going in to the wall at the track.

Comp mod is great, I use it while auto-crossing and PDXs.
