Default z06 question

i live in a suburb of philadelphia and am thinking of getting a z06. i can only have one car so my big question is can it be a daily driver? in winter i would put the appropriate tires on and catch rides when it is snow a lot. so would it be an ok daily driver? thanks

No, it wouldn't. Forget about it. You would need a winter car & store the Z in snowy weather. Good luck.

Default Daily driven? Sure, but it will cost you some cash, it's not free.

Fixed Roof Coupes are known to leak water. The factory caulk used dries out and eventually all of them will leak. Some issues can be corrected, some aren't easy.

Mine leaks a little bit in the back, but since it's a weekend car it doesn't matter.

In 2 years between 43k miles and 68k miles I've racked up a couple grand in repair bills. (clutch, wheel bearing, oil sensor, ebcm, etc.)

Besides, a Zo6 is a great track car, shame to have it stuck in traffic.

For the price of a great set of snow tires/wheels, that you would definately need, you could buy a winter beater.

After last winter, you're gonna need a beater.

1 inch of snow and you will start to dislike the z06.

6 inches and you will hate it or wreck it.

Or even better. Move to south Florida

Down here you can drive it year round, in fact winter is better than summer here.

On a more serious note, I don't like to drive my car when it rains too much. I cant imagine driving a z06 on northeast snow winter. Even if you could it will destroy your car.

I would get a winter beater like some have mentioned. I bought my Z06 and 2 months later got my self a v6 Camaro for beater. Paid $1900 for the Camaro, saves me gas, doesn't give me too much trouble and its an RS, t-tops and stick so even though it doesn't have 400hp its still a bit fun to drive.

Maintenance and repair and a set of tires on a vette is gonna cost you more than a beater.

I truely believe that a Corvette should always be a second car. You are going to need a back up.
