We were planning a trip before the blockage, now not sure when to go because of work-schedule. I am coming from the Memphis area, nearly 500 miles each way, I want to get it right !
Questions:
Where are some of the best places to stay?
What are some of the better sites to see while there?
I assume there are more roads worthy of a trip down?

Quick little note on gorghamak's comment and its one fun place to let your hair down but by all means don't lose respect for it.
I'm on the Sky Roadster forum with our blown/meth toy and last year
like you guys everyone got together and headed that way to do the dragon.
One of the single ladys that did not have a mod car decided to ride with one of the guys that was there by himself that had mods. Wanted to enjoy the thrill. Of course mod cars got to go first and the rest staggered along behind them but that couple I just mentioned didn't make one of the curves and the car landed on the passanger side door on a tree, which killed the lady on impact and the guy is still in full recovery trying to get his life back together.
Always put safety first, and remember, Memories are only made after the ride is over. Stay safe guys.............
