Convertable Top/Rear Deck

Convertable Top/Rear Deck
The convertable top on my 2001 is rubbing the paint off off the rear deck. Seems like I read a thread where there was a fix with the 2002 model year. I've done a search and can't find the info. Can anyone help me with this situation?

In each rear corner right? I put some clear silicone on the top portion where it hits and is rubbing. Let that dry and it's been holding stable for about 4 years now. That reminds me I do need to put some fresh on those spots.
As far as the damage it has done, the tonneau would have to come off and be refinished at a paint shop. It gouges into the paint.

Yep just put some silicone seal over the canvas part and it should give you a soft membrane between the two parts.
Oh yes as you see in the repair link there are staples that may be exposed so you'll have to deal with those first.
