Anyway guys I'm pretty sure that FU doesn't translate to German so I don't think people need to worry about it.

Back to the diffuser....AMAZING PIECE, first one I've liked for the C5.
Gents, there is no cursing on that plate at all. The first two letters (sometimes three depending on county/political district) are refering to the political district the car is registered in, in Alex's case the city of Fürth. These two can not be chosen, they are a given by the authorities. Just the letters behind can be chosen along with some numbers. Sometimes not even those, you can just select during time of registration from several two digit columns.

Ain't like in the US where you can choose the text on your plates....

if you look closely you see FÜ and not FU which can be mis-interpreted as cussing, the U with the chicken feet on top you guys don't have in your alphabet, a German language unique thingie

regarding better pic's, I'll try to make some from farther away in better quality

Heinz, thanks for clearing up the license plate issue.

It never crossed my mind, that it could be misinterpreted in such a way….especially since the plate spells FÜ not FU.
Anyway, being a former US service member, I surely won’t put a FU US on a vette….

By the way, coolchevy2 is one of the two fine gentlemen, who are responsible for this project becoming reality. He totally fulfilled my request in terms of design.

The "chicken feet" is actually called an umlaut, and we do use them occasionally, in words like "naïve".
