When you get a chance to drive it some please let us know if this is an issue because I sure would like to have them.
Craig, you will be pleasantly surprised, considering your experience with the HIDs. My projectors are aimed for a 3-inch drop @ 25 feet and have had zero flashes from oncoming traffic so far. I could probably even take it up another inch, but these are fine at this point.

Thank you very much for chiming in. I know Ed has not had time to evaluate that yet so your post is very helpful. Now all I have to do is wait for them to be available.

Looks great on that red!

Looks like we'll have a variety of colors to show these off on. I think I'll be the first black car.

I didn't have time to play with bezel color due to my move but I will definitely be playing with color options after I've settled in our new home. I'm sure others here will blaze that trail before I have a chance to.

I'm in Wildomar, which is minutes from Temecula, you can help me install exhaust when I open my shop

Welcome to town.

One word of advice as my wife commuted to Irvine for three years before she became a telecommuter, you'll want Fastpass for the 91 and the Ortegas seem to suck more often than not for traffic, the stop sign down on Grand is horrible at 5:00 coming off the mountain. I commute to Ontario and more often than not the 91 is pure traffic too, My wife can hook you up with all the "shortcuts"

Thanks for the welcome, Z06Electron. Are you truly opening a shop? That would be

You've verified what I've heard from my friends in Lake Elsinore and elsewhere - commute will suck. I'm familiar with the Fastpass - that's a given. I would welcome any commuting tips you are willing to share. It won't be my first long commute but, it will certainly be my toughest.

This is one of those very rare times when I'm glad I DON'T have a C5 yet! How will I ever be able to make up my mind between the Sun Guns and RadioFlyer's Stealth Light Canons?

They both look great, and are huge improvements over the stock headlights!

Fortunately, I have plenty of time. It's unlikely I'll have a Vette before summer of next year at the earliest. I wish someone could come up with something like this for my '89 GTA.

The instructions from Hella (if you want to call them instructions) say that the bezels can be removed, but don't say how. I didn't try. I think once the shrouds are done, the small amount of silver poking through will be a nice contrast to the surrounding black/carbon. I'm sure we'll see variations once these are in the hands of the masses.

BTW, the bezels are plastic, so I don't know if they can be powder coated or not.

Yeah once work slows down a little I already have done the research on manufacturing some nice pieces that sell well and are very profitable. I'm trying to find the time to get my tax id, license, etc... and I'll start out online at first, and we'll go from there

We are an extreme sports town and with Bear Creek and wine country there is no shortage of eye candy to look at. If there is a family in my whole neighborhood that doesn't own AT LEAST one "toy car" I would be shocked to death. Odd to see custom hot rods, lambos, bentleys, high end Mercedes, and Vipers cruise down neighborhood streets where they cost more than the houses, but what can I say, it is a great town .

Tell me where in Irvine, and I'll ask my wife.

We need to meet up, Z06Electron, so I can show you the Sun Guns in person.

I'll be working on Toledo Way in Irvine.

I had HID hi-beams on my light cannons. I ended up getting rid of them for the reasons you mention, Patches. They were virtually useless unless you were out in the middle of nowhere and could let them warm-up sufficiently for max output. In that case all 4 beams on at once were true light cannons, but just not practical for the street/city. I ended up going back to 4100K PIAA halogens.

Regarding your commute, you have your work cut out for you! You basically can go over the mountains - Ortega, or around them - 91 Fwy. The other route would be to the south via hwy 76. There are other shortcuts, but those are the basics. Ortega can work, but generally only if you hit it at odd hours. BTW, I used to work very close to your new office. Small world!

I've wanted to get out to the Lake Chevrolet meets, but haven't yet, might make for a nice excuse now. Of course we always have at least one car show going on somewhere in town almost every weekend.
