Default a/c help

so my a/c is blowing warm but randomly today it blew cold for ten or fifteen minutes. i stopped and got a pressure gauge on the low side its reading very high(no numbers just deep into the red). i then looked to see if the compressor would kick on and it is not. what should i do next. i cant charge the system because the pressure is to high.

It's reading high because the compressor isn't running. Unhook the battery for a minute or so, then hook it back up. This will reset the pressure switch.
Start the car, turn the A/C on max, hook a can of refrigerant up to the low side, and see if once it sucks some freon into the system, the compressor kicks on.
If you need some more info, PM your number and I'll try to help you out.

What codes is the DIC throwing? That's a good place to start.

It is your outside temp sensor.

I had the same problem. If i remember right, it was a $5 part (yet a $20 harness )
They get water in them and it gives the A/C false readings causing it to malfunction like that.

It is a typical issue. Cheap and easy fix to something overly complicated!

Be glad it isnt an expensive and difficult fix to something stupidly simple like everything else!

Although my sensor is bad. From the cases iv seen the ac wont turn on when the sensor reads 38. From the ones i see stuck on 69 people say the ac works fine its just an pain in the ****. Im lost and this is pissing me off. The compressor does not come on and the codes stated above are the only ones i have. i will replace the sensor and wire anyway however i do not think it is the culprit.
