Default C5 Vert window rubber

Any vendors out there think they could come up with an after market window rubber molding that like the C6 would let the window go into a channel and NOT LEAK !.....just asking....

The window on a C6 drops 1/2" when you open or close the door to clear the weather stripping channel.

To make that happen on a C5 would require sensors (switches) on the interior and exterior door handles along with a pulse of current to the window motor to move the window 1/2 ".

I wouldn't even know where to start to integrate all that into the existing door control modules.

I was thinking a much simpler solution. Like I said if the weather stripping had a channel that the glass could fit into and the rubber could just overhang the glass like a little rubber roof that the rain would drip off ...that might solve the problem.

i'd be in for something like that also. my 04 CE vert has the same problem, lol! no matter how the glass is adjusted, if i get caught in one of our tropic downpours, the chances are pretty good i'll get dripped on. not that it will make you feel any better but my daily driver an 01 spyder gt convertible and guess what, it has the exact same problem in a decent rainstorm. i guess it's rewarding that i only try to use the vette on the nicer days we have down here (fortunately that is many of them year round!).

Also have '04 CE Convertible. Closing door, window brushes back edge of top and has caused some wear. I have started rolling window down before closing door, then rolling up. Bought the Top Down Tech module to do this from key fob. Works great!
