The other day while driving "ahem" briskly on the way to work with the A/C full blast and a pretty decent amount of wind my passenger side window began to vibrate. I know the vette has the catches installed to catch the window when it does this and sure enough you can tell my passenger window is horribly out of alignment.
Does anyone have a write up for DIY fix? I believe the C6s actually auto crack the window to avoid this catch, but the C5 must be adjusted just right. I really don't want to screw up and lose a window
I don't trust stealerships so hopefully I can fix this myself.
Someone here has to know. I'm talking about the rubber hook catch in the middle of the side windows at the top. Rimless windows have a tendancy to flare out at speed and the prevent that from happening. My passenger is too loose so the window is able to move around an excessive amount causing the clanking sound of the window. They are attached to the roof.
You're talking about the blow out clips right? You'll have to pull the weatherstripping down to get to them.
Search window adjustment. You should be able to solve your problem by adjusting the window more inward. If that doesn't work, you can slightly bend those blow out clips to push the window more toward the weatherstripping, and make a tighter seal that way.
