Head Unit - PIONEER AVIC-Z110BT 7" NAVIGATION/DVD + Roem-vet1 (50w x 4)

Rear Speakers - Pioneer TSA1683R 4-Way's (50w RMS)

Amplifier - 1200w MTX Thunder Elite TE601D (300w rated/318w measured @ 4 ohms)

subwoofer - 12" Pioneer TS-W303R (1200w max/250w nominal@ 4 ohms)

I am sending off my bezel to Dennis for DD modding; and building a fiberglass structure for the hatch myself. And of course the wiring kits and harnesses need not be mentioned. Keeping the front "blose" (I know I know ) I might put a 500k capacitor in the mix, if nothing else just for looks. Biggest thing I'm worried about is the amp is rated at 600w @ 2 ohms. Since I couldn't find anywhere that said
the sub would run at 2 ohms does this mean that im losing 300w to the sub running in 4 ohms? I originally based my purchasing on a maybe naive belief : 1200w sub + 1200w amp = work. This is how I did my old system and never looked at ohms. If I am losing it do I just have to get another sub that runs at 4 ohms? As you can tell I am not an audio genius!
If anyone knows more about audio and can put their two cents in plz do

you can make the sub run at 2 ohms, its a 4ohm sub so u get 300watts@4ohms. either get two 4 ohm subs to get full power or a 2ohm sub

also please ditch the front bose and the roem harness. for the money u spent on roem harness u could get the 10 dollar gm harness and some 30 dollar 6.5 pioneer coaxials and it would sound better

 

Thanks! Yea I have been def tossing around the idea of just scrapping all of the bose. Its very tempting !
