No difference at all. The top fits all C5 model years.

Correct they all fit 97-04 but if you're looking to buy one, be aware that certain years (I don't which ones) had a factory defect, GM never did a recall, where the laminate peels in about a 4 inch strip on the passengers side. This happened to my 99. I don't know what other years had the problem.
