Sporatic engine temp.
SO I just took my Z into the dealer to get my transmission replaced, and they also fixed a problem with heat from the engine venting into the cab, but now the engine is shooting around on the dash because of excess heat, what can I do to aleviate this problem?

Probably low coolant and/or bad overflow tank cap and/or air in the system. Spend the $8 and get a new cap for the overflow tank and go about the business of bleeding / topping up your coolant system. Due to the gravity design of the system, this is an easy procedure, a forum search will give you all the info you need.
