rotors rusting?

Default rotors rusting?

i have noticed that my rotors have surface rust after just a couple hours? it comes off, but Ive never seen rotors rust in a matter of hours?

VHT "CLEAR" Hi-temp Engine paint works very well on controlling the rust - you must re-clean them and then paint

That will get it off the contact path. If it is on the rotor hats, you can paint them with some high temp paint and that will keep the rust off.

mine do the same thing. drive it, hit the brakes, rust is gone

Mine usually show surface rust after a wash and by the time the car is dry. The master blaster air dryer helps alot. The material used in newer cars in general is different than on older cars. My '07 Charger R/T's rotors reacted the same exact way. It is very annoying and you have no idea how many people will stop and admire my car after a wash and say "you really should drive the car more because even your rotors are rusting" Enjoy the weekend

Someone posted just a couple of days ago the method of polishing and Clear painting rotors.... looked like a llot of work but the results were nice

Summer = humidity+heat = more rust

Its normal, just looks bad!
