i have texas speed stage 2.5 5.3 heads vararam ported fast 90 ud pulley and a tx speed torquer 3 cam with 3:42 gears and a yank 3200 stall with headers no cats making right near 450rwhp for now til i take it all out since i just bought a sts twin turbo

the tx speed torquer 3 cam was the biggest cam i could get in my stock bottom end without shaving the pistons and it sounds NASTY!

hope that helps you some

Rick

I went with a 230/232 592/595 111 lsa. I absolutely love it because its lumpy, shakes the car at idle, and made 420 rwhp with only long tube headers through the stock Ti mufflers. I wouldnt however reccomend it unless you're looking to take your car one step away from the "refined sports car" and one step closer to a back in the day muscle car. It idles fine without the A/C on, but you need to keep your foot in it at idel with the air on or else it will die every once in a while. I love it, its exactly what I was looking for, but then again Im still young and stupid

I have a Coupe with CAI, headers, 2800 stall, 3:42 gears etc...

I already had the LS6 intake. I added stock 243 heads and a 224/230 .585/.595 113 LSA cam. Dynoed @ 416 rwhp/392 rwtq. It is a DD and I love it. Park Idle = 900, Gear Idle = 750. Excellent street manners. City 15 mpg, hwy 26 mpg. Nice lopey sound at idle. WOT scares women and children. Hell, it can scare me.

That can (and should be) corrected in your tune. I am finding out that a cam installs requires 1 or more "tune tweaks" afterwards to dial in all use conditions.

Yea, its been about two years since I did the install and had MTI in Houston tune it (before they shut down shop). I guess I should look into finding a place in Florida to do a retune.
