Default Callaway Honker

I had the Callaway Honker air intake installed on my 98 today and simply love it. It really woke the LS1 up. It has a sort of mean throaty sound to it. I also have no issue with the idle relearn i've read so much about with another popular brand of air intake. Very well made. I highly recommend it.

This is one of those opportunities to take pics and totally ***** your car out. C'mon man! Make with the pics.

Where did you get your intake? What did you pay? How was the customer service?

The Honker, titanium exhaust and an Elite Engineering tunnel plate were my very first mods. The Honker is IMHO the best cold air intake. Oh I forgot one other mod I made when I installed the Honker that I think is essential if you have a CAI - a radiator screen:

I have to agree with you. I've had my Honker for at least a couple of years now and it really performs. The quality and fit is like OEM. Serviceability is easy too. Anyone considering this will have no buyer's remorse, you get what you pay for applies here!

Yup that's a must for the CAI bottom feeder. You'll be surprise how much road litter gets suck under there.

Great to read this. I recently posted in the NorCal forum looking into smog legal CAI options. The Honker pretty much came out on top. A bit pricey, but if it performs like everyone says, will get one.

Does it really add some volume to the LS1 sound? I have the GHL Bullet cat back exhaust. Would be great if the Honker complimented the GHL sound.

Arguably the best CAI for our cars. Fit and finish is top notch and you definitely feel a difference after install. It would still be on my car if I didn't go with a blower.

Callaway makes some outstanding products. Have heard nothing but good things about the Honker air intake.
