Default Installing c5 automatic shift **** upgrade

I found these shift ***** at this website and it says 10 minute installation time.

Never messed with these before...does anyone have any experience replacing their stock shift **** with one like these? I am partial to the chrome or satin finish ones. Thanks

They are very easy to install, To take off the stock one you look in the front of the shift **** facing the radio and you will see a u shapped pin, You have to pry that out and the **** will lift right off and the new **** will install the same way, I had one of the ***** you are looking at and took it off the first week because it got so hot in the summer I couldn't touch it.
When I took off the metal one I installed a Torch Red factory style which is now for sale.

And this is my current ****.

I put one of these on and it was very easy, but I went back to a modified stock version because I liked the look and feel better.

I have this one right now. I love it,but it does get a bit hot in the Florida sun. It cools off fairly fast with the AC on. I manually shift a lot (RPM Stage IV tranny) and the heat does not bother me. The rubber rings fell out after a few months of being installed. Went to ACE hardware and found some O rings that were the same size, they have lasted a few years now.

Thanks to the OP for the link that was posted - I've been looking for a chrome version of the one I have and they say they have one. Will be giving them a call.

Where did you get the torch red factory-style ****? That's actually nicer than the ones I was looking at.

Also keep in mind, there are adapters available that will allow you to use the ***** for manual transmissions. Once you do that, the sky's the limit.
