Default Smooth Valve Covers????

After buying some smooth valve covers, I relocated my coil packs, and was putting on the valve covers and the driver side doesnt fit. They hit the alternator, I guess they are for different LS engines. So Im wondering who sells smooth valve covers. Any can anyone tell me who does? Thanks for any info!

The only difference in C5 fuel rail covers is whether there are one fuel line slot or two on the left side cover. If it's an aftermarket cover and is otherwise correct why don't you just trim it away where it hits the alternator. I'm thinking that would be easier than getting new covers.

Might need to clean the flashing off the back of the alternator bracket to fit. That's what I had to do with my Katechs

I went with valve covers from the GM racing catalog; had no fitment issues.

Well its hitting a good bit of the alternator, I will have to cut it out and have it re welded, its a option.

Its the valve covers that are hitting. I think they are too tall.

I take it we are talking about vavle covers not coil covers right? I just had to make sure . If you got them off
E-Bay you will have to shave the alt bracket alot.

He is referring to actual valve covers, not fuel rail covers.

I bought them off another Vette owner. He was going to build another engine for his vette, but decided to do something different. These were brand new when I bought them. Im sure he wasnt aware of this either. Im going to take them to a welder tomorrow and see what he can do. I'll post some pics of them tomorrow or Wed.
