Default Corsa touring axle back systems ?

Has anyone have one of these systems ? I looked it up, listened to the sound tracks and pretty much decided on this system with the classic tips, but after doing my research it still boils down to perhaps a picture of a C5 Corvette. Someone is going say " Yeah that's a Corvette C5, But . . ."

So I'm just asking for any thoughts on this system after you've had it for awhile.

I have the touring with classic tips and it sounds much better than stock at WOT. I will be going to Carlisle this year and I will step up to a bit louder system called the Corsa pace car.

Corsa make some inserts for the Touring system that will convert it to the Pace Car. The Touring system has slots in the inlet pipe just inside the muffler frame. The inserts block off those slots and thereby convert it to the Pace Car system.

Then scroll to post #15 for pics of the inserts.

Install a Corsa X-pipe when youre installing your Corsa system as well....It adds incredible depth and tone to the sound

I have the Corsa Tiger Shark Touring - perfect for me, but most Corvette people are looking to make more noise so it seems. There are so many loud vehicles on the streets now that I just instinctively look the opposite direction when I hear one, but I am a committee of one.

Not any more!! I called Corsa a couple of years ago about them,,and the tech rep stated they no longer do that!! He agrees all it is a short piece of 2 1/2" O.D. pipe that is fixes inside the inlet to cover the slots!! An easy DIY!! Just make sure you attach it (a spot weld or run a screw through to keep it in place!!

Default Ok, Ah I think I'll listen to more of you who have one. .

Man this is a tough call for me. I've at the Corsa site listened to the touring/classic tips and or the Touring with tiger shark tips, but still confused. So lets say your starting from a completely stock system, which I am, How extra loud is the 'Touring vs the Pace Car system? same deal with either the classic tips, but they cost and extra $125.00 for them. How loud over stock is the touring and pace car? Thank you for your patience, I don't want to spend $1295.00 and wind up with a car I have to wait till 9AM sunday so I don't upset my neighbors backing out my driveway to the street.

It seems the touring vs the Pace car is a slim margin?

sounds like you should find someone in your area and go listen to them in person. Like I said I am happy with the Touring and if I want louder I will install cutouts down the road.Plus the classic tips are much cooler looking than the orig Cadillac tips !
