Alcantara on steering wheel?

Alcantara on steering wheel?
Has anyone replaced the leather on the steering wheel with Alcantara? I'm thinking of removing the leather and using it as a pattern. The new CTS-V has this type of covering and it's nice.

Nope ...... haven't seen anyone posting about it. Good idea to use your existing leather as a pattern but I would be concerned about doing the restitching with the new stuff. Please post pics if you decide to do it.

I have it on the bottom of my APSIS D-Type, but I dont know how well it would hold up over time if holding onto it all the time.....just my opinion, I have no facts to back that up.
