Repair Vert Top
Does anyone know a place in Austin that can restitch my vert top? The threads are coming out on both sides and I can only assume that a repair would be cheaper than a new purchase.

Not sure that it will be worth it. In order to do it right the top would have to be disassembled. Labor on these tops is more than half of the cost. If I remember right the top is about $500 for a Hartz and about another $500-700 to install.
You might have to find a resto upholsterer to do it and that prbably wont be cheap. I'm in the same boat, needing to replace the top. Just have to wait until the money appears.

Check out Al Knoch, I think he's in San Antoniio. He specializes in Corvette interiors and soft tops. They make NCRS quality stuff, and willalso do the install by appointment. They even bring their installer to shows, so check their schedule of show attendence and they wil make an appointment with you.

Mag - I know Tony. He has been my advisor several times for my suburban. He is a great guy.
Phanni - I checked out Al. He is in El Paso. Although still in Texas, it is many many miles from Austin. I will give them a call and see if they know of or can recommend someone as well.
