Default Brake pad install question:

Preparing for a brake job tomorrow. Braided lines, Hawk HPS pads, drilled rotors and powder coated calipers are all going on my FRC.

One thing I can't find a definitive answer to is which side the front pad with the wear indicator goes. Looks to me like the inside but I just want to be sure. I can't see it on the outside of the disc on the car, but just in case i get them off and for some odd reason there isn't one there I wan't ask here first.

Thanks.

Hi
From the service manual:
Install new brake pads onto the brake caliper.
The outboard brake pad with insulator installed toward the brake caliper housing.
The inboard brake pad with the wear sensor installed nearest the brake caliper piston.
The wear sensor must be in the trailing position during forward wheel rotation.
Replace brake pads in axle sets only.

How tough are the caliper bolts to get loose?

18'' breaker bar. Takes a bit of oomph and the bolts may be difficult to turn out the rest of the way because of the loctite. Remember to turn the front wheels to each side for better access to the bolts.

I also undid the speed sensors and got them out of the way to prevent damage and get a bit more room. As a bonus, my intermittent "service traction control" light that went on a 79 MPH went away.

Thanks guys! I got it done yesterday.
