Hey all, I have been searching for a C4 or early model C5 for a month or so. I came across this and don't really have the desire to pursue it but maybe someone on the forum maybe interested. Seems like it could be a money pit. Might be a fun project but let me know what you experts think.
Looks like an eazy $3K in used parts. Would you/are you capable of doing the repairs after you find out FIRST that their isn't any structural damage?
How many miles on engine,trans?

I'll give the add a call to see what the mileage is on it after work. I have never done any body work before but believe I would be able to figure it out with some guidance.
The car would defiantly need to get looked at for structural damage. With that impact I would think the radiator would be damaged as well. And then the airbags would need to be replaced...
Not to mention two head light buckets corner lens and heaven only knows what eles. If not doing the work your self & not being able to get the price down to $5K, I would walk/run very fast away from this potential headach. They are practically giving away nice straight C/5's in today's market. Good luck.
I totally agree bumble. I would be fine with a project eventually but not to be able to enjoy the car while acquiring/searching for all of the parts would suck.
I would buy it for $6000 if it was down here and part it out. It has lots of aftermarket goodies on it. I'd bet money on a H/C too, which could net you $2k right there.
I wouldn't fix it, but I'd sure as hell make some $$$ parting it out.
Hmmm....price seems a bit steep for the car. It already has a TigerShark front end so wonder if it's been wrecked before or was just a mod. Mileage will play a big part and looking underneath for signs of abuse.
Seems like replacing both airbags could be expensive too. Otherwise, if there is no structural damage, could be a very good project....but for less moola.

Excellent idea sir. I called and left a message not too long ago and haven't gotten a response. Many possibilities, does seem to have a fare share of goodies.

There is no way I would even look at that car for 8500, I can see over 5 grand just to get it driveable and looking decent, That is if you do all the work your self, Can you say "Run Forest Run" By the time you were done you would have a lot more into that car than you would if you just bought one that needed no work.
Mr.Bill
Never called back so I called at lunch. Says it has a 110,000 miles and has no previous accidents reported. He also says it runs and drives just fine...
I'm sure the price will go down the longer it is up for sale.
