The only mod I might regret is putting in a 3.5" front speaker to upgrade the stock Bose...
nothing wrong with the speaker but in the future I may wind up doing component speakers instead. Not a lot of money and can always sell it off with the stock Bose, hopefully.
Otherwise, I'm very happy with my mods as I take my time and do a lot of research before
I do anything.
I'm not going to say names but I got a knock off of the Tiger Shark front bumper. The person I dealt with was very professional and great to deal with. The company I had to call was no help at all. My body shop guy was of no help. He prepped, painted and tried to install. He then notices the bumper has slight webbed stress cracks in the inside corners. He said he couldn't see the cracks until the paint was on. I say well I can see if I can get an exchange, oh but wait, it's already painted and I'm in the hole for that.
So I know there will be no easy going down this road so I call the bumper company. They say they can evaluate it and swap a bumper if it's really needed but that minor cracks are standard. And even if swapped they won't pay for getting another paint job. So I have the body guy do what he can with it. The fit was horrible. The body guy tries to fix the cracks and the work on the fitment but it takes him a while. It looks ok at first but as time goes on it starts to look like crap. The cracks are starting to show through even more now and the fit is only worse.
I only got this bumper because my stock one was cracked and had a hole in the top. So I needed a new one anyway. I should have gone real Tiger Shark or OEM. Lesson learned. Now I'm trying to replace the crappy one I have and looking for an stock black bumper so I don't have to pay paint again. I heard the real Tiger Shark quality is one of the best in aftermarket body parts. I'm sure others have had great success with knock off parts. But I just can't take any more chances and I need to find a better body shop.
I also had RUFF wheels which turned out to be a nightmare with fitting a year after being on the car when I was getting new brakes. For some reason the wheels didn't go on right after and I was stuck with wheels that don't fit and leaking tires on stock wheels. So I was basically forced cut my losses with those wheels and buy new wheels. Again, these wheels were a cheap wheel with a nice look.
My biggest lesson is don't cheap out on car parts. Get the quality parts in the first place and save time, money and the aggravation that goes with it.
I'd say all my mods done to the car. Yes its fun and all that but, thats like 20k in everything in which I could've saved up for who knows what other stuff to waste money on. While I don't officially regret it because I know I will enjoy it all its still makes you wonder after spending all that what else I should've spent it on.

That sucks bro. Kind of a bs excuse some spider cracks are standard? Thats like going to a car lot and buying a new car and them stating it not running is standard.

I know this will startle you but I regret doing the long tube headers, mainly because they quieted my corsa pace car exhaust too much...would have been a wiser move to leave the stock manifolds in and just add a 3.42 rear end for better throttle response. $1400 plus $500 to have them installed just doesn't pack enough bang for the buck for me...

Buying my first mod from a vender that will keep to myself. There those that I know have the same issues and others that love them. Thus, I do not deal with them at all. Love every DIY mod I have. Love the ones I bought too.
The first....as it has sent me down the slippery slope to "Modification Nation"...the world where your wallet is never deep enough and there is always something else you "need" to make your Corvette just that much more.....yours

Clear Halos... I thought they would look great! After removing the stock Halo lenses with alot of sweating and swearing and modding (yeah, more swearing and elbow grease) and glueing the clear OEM lenses on........ They looked like pooh pooh on Pewter!
They looked great at night though;
Even tried tinting the centers and leaving the Halo ring clear;
Finally swallowed my pride and put the stock lenses back on...
