Default C-5 wheels and tires

The C-5 uses 245/45-17 with 17x8.5 wheels in the front. the rear is 18x9.5 with 275/40-18. what would the impact be to use the same size wheels as the rear all around on the car.

No not necessarily. As long as your combination of wheel and tire size had the rear overall diameter from ½ inch or taller than the fronts you would be OK. So you could use 18x9.5 wheels on all four corners with proper off-sets and just make sure the tire sizes mounted came out taller in the rear.

Read a post I made on the subject. Hopefully this will help you understand what you can, and can not do.
