Default Venture Shield clear bra

I just had my 00 vette done in venture shield clear film and it looks excellent. The shop who did it has great customer service and are perfectionist (perfect for us vette owners). I just wanted to pass this along to anyone thinking about having their vette done. I was highly impressed with how invisible this product really is. The company that did the install is called perfectint and they are out of springfield mo. www.417tint.com

Last time I had this done back in 2002 it ran about $350. Is it still around that price?

Will the bra cover the lower spoiler or can they do a clear part for that one. Rock chips are killing me.

A new nose only piece will run around 500 now. The technology of the product has really improved and in my opinion, is worth the bucks. As stated, it is invisible, easy to clean and protects the paint. I had my 6 year old one replaced, and there was not a mark on the original paint after that time. One hell of a product! To me it is worth it but everyone has an *** and an opinion!!!

It all depends on what you have done. I had the Front Bumper, about half way up the hood, mirrors, and behind each wheel done for $675 tax and all.

Yes, the bra will cover the lower spoiler. They can do just about anything you want. I drove 2 hours back home and there was zero damage (there's always a new chip it seems like after driving) on my vette.

I took a couple pictures of it after the install. It is difficult to see in the pictures but it is there.

Thanks. It is venture shield. I went with venture instead of 3m due to the yellowing that 3m will eventually do.

I had an Acura and it yellowed to a point of looking horrible. My daughter has a 2009 Corolla and it is already starting to look shabby. Not sure who the manufacturer of the film is tho.

When I first looked into getting the clear film put on, the yellowing was one concern. 3m warranty's their product for 5 years whereas venture shield has a lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling, or yellowing. If it was done by an installer you might want to contact them, maybe you can get it replaced under warranty.

It is my understanding that the VS warranty has recently changed to a 5year.

Not to my knowledge. My warranty card states coverage for the lifetime.

That is a crazy price just for venture shield. I probably wouldn't have done it if it cost that much.

Yes, if you already have it applied, it will be a lifetime warranty. They have recently changed it to 5 years going forward. All installations prior to the change are granfathered.

This place by Dulles will do Venture Shield for around $800 for the front and lower hood.

Does the lifetime grandfathered in VS warranty include installation when the film turns yellow?
