I had never done any thing like this before, and after a quick research on the internet and some guidance from forum member paul68 i decided to try it out on some of the bigger scratches on my car.
I do not have any pictures of the bigger scratches but it looked like a cat was responsible for them and the last owner did have cats so i am guessing that's what it was.
After wet sanding(2000grit), using rubbing compound and puting wax on it, the scratches are completely gone. It is quite impressive that i could get sratches that were fairly deep.
How ever it is very time consuming work, especially when done by hand. It took very long time and to get the hazed look from wetsanding out of the car, i had to keep on going back with rubbing/polishing compound over and over to finally get it out.
Took me almost 40 min if not more to do two scratches. I will do some more next week and will also take some pics.
This was done by me and paul(paul68) the other day and its worked quite well and you can not even see the scratch now.
Very nice job... though as stated above a buffer would have made it easier... but if it is a high speed buffer you would also have to worry about getting the paint to hot and causing other damage. Good job!
nice job bro I am guessing you dont have a buffer? that would have cut your time down alot.

No he doesn't have a buffer, I do but we where just trying some wet sanding out and on a small area seem to work pretty good. If he does alot more wet sanding he going to need a buffer.
