Default Jack,Which one.

I want to buy a jack to raise my car.
However once I add the pad,I can't seem to find one that will go low enough.
What do you guys use.

Covered in above "sticky". Build a 2" to 4" wooded ramp.

I have a low-profile Craftsman Professional that works fine even when using the jacking pucks.

I would recommend the XL35 jack from Northern Tools. It is a 3.5ton low profile jack, 3.5 inches at plate and will lift to 21 inches high. cost is 159.00.

i have rhino ramps to park on but if i just want to jack it up w/o the ramps, i pull up onto two small 2x4's i cut and then use the pucks and jack.

I bought an AC Delco last week at O'Reillys Auto Parts that worked great. It fits under the lifting pucks and it's strong enough that I lifted both rear wheels at once from the center.

As much as I don't like most stuff from Harbor Freight, I picked up a 2T low profile (2 7/8" at lowest level) for $80. It is low enough to get under the Vette yet has enough lift to get my lifted Land Rovers off the ground.

I use a Craftsman aluminum racing jack that has a very low minimum height - it works with jacking pucks in place.

I've got this one from Harbor Freight:

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-ton-l...ack-67022.html

Super low (2-7/8" min height), 2-ton, and fits under my rear cross member and side frame rails, even though I'm lowered almost 2" on Pfadt coilovers. Love it!

Yep! Arcan XL35, it's what I have and it rocks

Lifts my rear with no blocks, and all the front needs is a drive up on a 2x4.
