I have a scan gauge on my 3800SC swapped Fiero that displays a bunch of parameters via the OBDII port. I bought it a couple years ago for around 200 bucks from aeroforce. Seems like it displays more useful parameters than this one... this seems a lot like a mpg calculator...

ultragauge supports up to 75 gauges, most of which are not mileage gauges....did you see this page:

Just received mine and installed it in my truck. It supported 53 sensor readings (Nissan) and seems to work as advertised.

For $40-50 I'll probably get another one...

Had one waiting when I got home. Most likely won't play with it until the weekend.

Seems like a few of the displays on this are already on the DIC.

I might get one of these anyway...pretty good deal.

I want to hear a first hand review on this product. $40 sounds to go to be true.

I agree but I have spent more for less. I may "roll the dice" and take my chances on this one. I would use this on my 4Runner and not my AE.

Offer is good for a few more days.

Cleared the "Honey Do" list today.

Gonna play tomorrow.

Manual is attached. Long list of possible gauges but it's vehicle dependent so I'll see what comes up on my 01 Ford Explorer for a start.

Page 25 shows the default gauge display.

Manual does say you have to configure it for each car as to engine size and fuel capacity so moving it quickly from car to car would be a pain. You can use it to read the codes on other vehicles though.

Using UltraGauge on more than one vehicle.
Although not recommended, UltraGauge can be used on more than one vehicle. UltraGauge stores information such as engine size, fuel
tank size, mileage, distance, calibration and other configuration settings specific to your vehicle. Before use on a second vehicle,
UltraGauge will need to be completely reconfigured and calibrated. However, UltraGauge can be used to check engine trouble codes on
another vehicle without configuration or calibration.

Hooked it up to my DD. It's an 01 Explorer Sport.

Plugged it into the OBD connector and (after I remembered to turn the key to run) it connected right up.

First PITA is that the connector snaps into place. I was going to unplug it and start over but the clip is such that I'm going to have to stick my head under the dash and pry the "snap" up to remove it. Not a big deal unless you are going to move it car to car or do not want to leave it in the car.

As a minimum you provide the engine and fuel tank sizes. There are other areas that will require manual input as well.

For example it did not receive input from a fuel tank sensor so I had to provide an estimate for the amount of fuel in the tank and will have to tell it whenever I fill the tank.

The MPH readout agrees with my GPS that the factory speedometer reads about 1.5 MPH faster than actual speed. That surprised me. The RPM matched with the cars tachometer.

I took a quick trip around the block and the default layout I had up all seemed to be correct including MPG. It also identified the trouble code I had previously.

I'll play some more later and see what gauges I can bring up. All the pictures below are the default settings.

The unit has three "pages" for display with 7 areas. In reality you can customize 6 of them since it always displays the Open/Closed loop indicator in the top right. The last three pictures are the default screens.

Overall I think it's worth the $$.

Page #1: MPH / RPM, Coolant temp / Miles since last oil change (not set), Intake temp / Miles since last service (not set)

Mileage and Fuel:Time to Empty, Distance to Empty

Trip info: Average MPH / MPG, Gallons used / Engine run time, Gallons per hour / Miles travelled
