Default HVAC Problems Continue

I have a 1998 Pace Car. I changed both AC Actuators and the HVAC control panel because both malfunctioned. I also checked the freon, which is fine. Now AC on auto setting at 60 degrees shows blower at full speed and you can hear the blower speed up but the volume of air coming out is minimal, although cold on both sides. What else may be malfunctioning and what will it take to fix? I live in Florida and it is always HOT! Please help!

Is there air coming out equally of ALL VENTS?

I mean, can you adjust it to where when you are on HEAD ONLY...there is ZERO air coming out on your feet or out of the defroster vents?

Do you have any codes?

Assuming you have no codes on the DIC. I seem to recall something about checking vacumn lines under the battery? But I have never done, or had to this, but? I am sure there is someone that can send you in the right direction other than me. Good luck.

I have no codes and air is coming out of all upper AC vents equally on both sides. No air is coming from defroster or under dash where heat usually comes from.

I stand corrected. I just went out and checked the AC again and you were correct, air is coming from all vents, defroster, dashboard and under dash were heat comes from if heater is turned on. Is it vacuum hose problem under battery perhaps? I have seen other replys as answers relating to this problem.

Could also be the vacuum control valve ... it's under dash on passenger side.

There's your problem. Start tracing the vacuum line from the back of the intake to the connection at the canister inside the fender.
The line(hard plastic) is inside the large wire loom that runs behind and under the battery tray. You can access the canister and connection by removing the inner fender well(just as you do when adding vent screens).
If it were me(and I've already done this) I wouldn't even bother tracing the line. Replace it with rubber vacuum hose.

You got it...vacuum hose from the back of the intake manifold( TINY ONE) it comes off of a little 90 degree rubber elbow.

It runs back behind the engine and underneath the battery down to a vacuum canister.

EASY way...put front of car on jackstands and set ebrake. remove front right tire. remove battery and tray. remove the little access panel in the fender well and the bottom two fender bolts under the car(there is one hidden in the door jam that you may want to take off too) for easy access.

You'll have to remove the intake manifold or at least slide it forward 6 inches or so.

Just cut the line from the bottom of the canister where it runs into..take the little elbow off of the back of the intake manifold and pull the little vacuum hose out about two feet or so...

Just replace the hard small vacuum line with small fuel/vacuum line...run a little extra so it's easier to remove the intake manifold and put it back on next time. I just left the little hard vacuum line in there and cut off the excess in the engine compartment and then just hid the new vacuum line tucked up under the cowl and back down below the battery. You just hook it up to the bottom of that canister, put the intake back on, front tire and you're done

This will fix your issue.
