Perhaps along with your mentioned future upgrades, you could build/put a better appearing mailbox base to match the house. Not a knock, just an idea to consider.

I had done my entry-way courtyard area and back patio around the pool for $5500 last year. It is hard to see from the pictures but the entire entry area behind the front wall is pavers also. The Driveway basicly goes right to the front door.. You can see it better from here:

It looks great. I had a Canary Island Date Palm in my front yard and it got too big and was blocking the house. I put in a couple of Queen Palms and it looks much better now. Just a suggestion. Good luck.
