Default Goodbye Runflats!

Yesterday morning I took the wifes 98 convt . to a friends tire shop to switch out the runflats.
He had ordered me the Hankook Ventus V-12 K100s.
WOW!!!, what a tire.
I took the Vette out for a long cruise. Highway, back roads with some twistys and a nice run up along the Deleware River.
The Hankooks have it all over the GoodYears in ride quality and handling. And at around half the price. Mounted, balanced and out the door $703.00
I realize I only put on about 75 miles but I am extremely impressed with the way they performed.

How many miles are they suppose to get? whats the trade wear number? are they a 45,000 mile tire like the michlin a/s/plus? or a 20,000 mile tire?

One of the first things I did was ditch the runflats for Good Year GSD3s. The first thing that jumped out at me was how quiet the non runflats were in contrast to the runflats, not to mention better grip and no side hop when cornering on uneven pavement and a much more compliant ride.

We drove 1100 miles last weekend on my new Hankooks going to a reunion. Much better ride. We got caught in the rain and had no problems. I like the tires.
